Edirol UA-700 Audio Capture USB Audio InterfaceThe UA-700 is an extended version of the the UA-5 USB audio interface. The UA-700 uses Roland's COSM (Composite Object Sound Modelling) technology to simulate guitar amps, microphones and effects.

The mic modeling system lets you control five kinds of high-quality microphone sounds with various characteristics. There is a compressor for microphone recording and a de-esser.

Used with a guitar, you can tweak 11 guitar-amp sounds to produce almost any guitar sound in history. providing a wide range of guitar sounds from heavy distortion with tube amp to soft distorted crunch-sound or clean sound. Guitar effects include delay, tremolo, flanger, phaser and compressor.

Ther is a wide variety of effects processors including a noise suppresser and a three-band equalizer. Other effects include reverb and chorus.

The versatile connectivity includes 48 V phantom power for condensor microphones. There is zero latency direct monitoring.

There are plenty of knobs, which makes for excellent ergonomics.
